Steps to Appeal a Disability Denial in Wyoming

1. Review Your Denial Notice

Carefully read the SSA's denial letter. It will outline the reasons for denial and provide critical information about deadlines for filing an appeal.

2. Know the Four Levels of Appeal

• Reconsideration:
  Request a complete review of your case by someone who was not involved in the initial decision. You have 60 days from the date of your denial to request reconsideration.
• Hearing by an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ):
